Rauris is a beautiful summer destination, be it to explore the alpine mountainous
landscape or simply a place to sit back, relax and soak up the crisp Austrian air.
There are two 18-hole golf courses located in the Salzach Valley with views of the
Hohe Tauern National Park. Walk in the footsteps of golfing legends such as Greg
Norman, Seve Ballesteros and Bernhard Langer who have all played here. They are situated
adjacent to each other and provide a park like terrain surrounded by a number of
natural lakes. Both courses are open to the public between April and November.
Walking, Cycling & Hiking
The Rauris / Salzburgerland area gives the rambler access to a wealth of marked walking
paths with some of the most stunning scenery to view along the way. Keep an eye out
for the resident Bearded Vultures hovering above you as you walk. Click here to view
interactive hiking map.
Rauris also links into the expansive Pinzgau biking network with over 750km of trails.
Mountain biking is obviously a popular pastime here and there are many annual events
(May-Oct) including the ultimate mountain challenge titled "Glockner Koenig".
White Water Rafting, Paragliding & Canyoning
Rauris is situated only 10 minutes from Taxenbach, home of the area's extreme sport
centre. Here you can experience white water rafting, canyoning, paragliding, mountain
biking, tubing and many other activities.
Occupants will have unlimited access to the on-site Wellness Centre, with underground
access from the apartment and within Rauris there is also a perfectly situated outdoor
heated swimming pool with water slide and mountain views.
